A serial killer stalks a populated suburb. Can a local priest lawfully protect the serial killer's secrets? As the priest's lawyer, Sam Young, seeks to protect him, the killing spree continues, digging him further into legal, not to mention moral, jeopardy. The more Sam and his friend and forensic scientist Juliana Bauer learn about the serial killer, the more they realize that the priest's dillemma is not only bigger than their community, but that its trail began many decades, even centuries ago.
